About Me:

I have been a professional writer most of my life, other than occasional sidetracks into smuggling, law enforcement, and other childish thrills. I've written for urban dailys and weeklies, top national (US) magazines, mail order catalogs, comedians, websites, and books...mostly about Mexico and Spanish. I had two syndicated columns in hip urban weeklies, both award winners, both widely admired and reviled.

I've edited a dozen publications, owned several, had a line of poetry titles, and was at one time a hot-shot mail order marketing exec.

In recent years I've turned more to scripts and novels. I have a TV series in development (which just means some Hollywood producers are trying to sell it instead of me) and am currently working to ready marketing in advance for the release of a couple of novels in 2008. (Or so they claim)

I will put more website addresses here as the time gets closer.

I just hate bios and "about me" blurbs, actually. But you seem okay.

Two very important events for writers of ebooks, web fiction, podcasts, other eMedia

First, a unique and extremely cool event, Free E-day.
This is such an effective and gracious promotional event, and perfectly in tune with the whole dynamic of "eWriting".
The idea is, on Dec 1, 2009 writers and artists who work online or in electronic media such as eBooks, digital art or mp3 music will just give something away for free to all comers.
