About Me:
Originally from California, I'm a Louisiana transplant- yes, survived the hurricanes- no- we had no major problems, but friends did. I teach education classes at a local college. My writings have a romantic bent, but I like to create intricate plots that are character driven. I love to see where the characters take me, and have been surprised more than once by them! Thanks to Lacrecia Hayes for inviting me!

Hey! No, the semester isn't quite over yet- this is the last week of classes though. I'm glad to hear your experience at LSU-E was a good one- we try.

Holly, I teach middle school English. My degree is in K-8, and I've worked with many levels 3-8th. I got my associates from LSU-E before moving on to UL; then I student-taught through LSU. I ended up with an interesting perspective. The professors at LSU-E do a terrific job. Are you still in the middle of the summer teaching session, or are y'all finished for a bit?

You really are in my home stomping ground. It's a bit of a drive, but we're there once a month to see family and friends.

Have a great week!

Holly, does BR still count as Acadiana? We're heading your way for the day today as a matter of fact. I hope yesterday's rain has passed. Thanks for the congrats about the Wal-Mart award. Because I especially believe there are so many other deserving teachers, it really surprised me.

Have a great day~

Holly,
I never thought I'd see a Eunice writer here! Boy, this is proof that it's a small world. I'm a Eunice gal, living and teaching in the local college's birthplace now. I have a fall children's book "The Pilgrim's Basket" in the illustration phase. You can check out its journey at http://writethroughme.blogspot.com/

I'd love to hear more about your writing! Looking forward to getting to know you,

Mary Ellen

Welcome and good to meet you.
The forums have some good discussions, I look forward to reading your post there. Self publishing your own book gives tips on marketing, promoting and publishing books.
