The cover should really tell about what's inside. So if there isn't a great cover it isn't a great book!!!

Difference between a publisher and book printer

Jawar asked me a pretty good question. Most of the times, it's those little differences in terms that have many people very confused.

A book printer is one who prints books, but rarely does anything else. They don't edit, unless you request a last minute file edit, which can be an arm and leg. They don't format files. You or your publisher sends them files which are print ready. They print what they are given and send it back to the customer.

A publisher, on the other hand, is one who takes a… Continue

Chris,

I've gotten so many compliments on the author trailer you made for me. I know at least 20 people have said they'd be contacting you. Now, I can't wait to see the cover you're doing for me. LOL! Wish you'd give me a hint or something.

Again, thanks. I was very fortunate to have been able to work with two very gifted designers on those projects. (Richard also designed the interior elements -- CD labels and insert -- for The Voice of the Muse Companion, a 2-CD set of guided meditations, and did a stellar job on that as well.)

Great to connect with another design nut! (Is there someplace to see samples of your design work?)

P.S. If you liked the books' covers, you'll love what's between them!

Thanks for the compliments on my book cover and my concept for The Voice of the Muse. Altho I wasn't the designer, my words, spirit and energy certainly inspired him (Richard Crookes in the UK) to produce such an awesome result. Plus, I was actively involved in the design process.

Check out my other book cover (different designer) and let me know what you think:

Both covers have interesting stories behind them.
