Life Interrupted: It's Not All About Me
by Chris M. Tatevosian
"Life Interrupted: It's Not all about Me, is a candid and humble memoir about one young man's diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and how his 'poor-me' attitude cost him his marriage. Chris hopes others might learn from his mistakes to communicate more effectively and not allow disability and low self-worth to destroy relationships. Chris also writes about his faith in God, and his new wife, Jane, who he married in April of 2007."

I grew up in Massachusetts and went to college in Vermont, where I lived for 23 years before moving back to Massachusetts in 2001. Burlington Vermont was great, but it's nice to be back with family in Massachusetts. I was recently married for the second time. My wife Jane, and I are born-again Christian's and truly loving life. I'm just going to go off here with random thoughts and experiences that I have had recently, just to give you a better idea of who I am. I'm excited by and active in a well-established MS community among others, such as photography, comedy, parents, medical and more on www.cre8buzz.com and I love it. Everyone is so nice and extremely talented. I wish I could make my page look half as good as the sites the member's have created. Maybe in time.

Anyway, here are some more details about me and what I've been up to. I have MS, if you or someone you know has MS you know MS is different for every individual. The combination of symptoms is like the variables in an algebraic equation. There are so many different variations of symptoms with this disease, but we’re all pretty much on the same wavelength when it comes to understanding the emotional challenges we face. How we deal mentally in our personal lives can be so devastating. Wouldn’t it be nice to find some mental relief? I wrote a book designed to help others deal with and understand how chronic illness affects relationships. The book is my real life story. I have had MS for 28 years, divorced and remarried. Praise the Lord! If you'd like to read more about my book, there are some reviews on Amazon.com (book title: Life Interrupted, It's Not All About Me) or you can check out my blog by cutting and pasting the link below into your browser: duketate-feelingbetter.blogspot.com or just click on my cre8buzz blog, and visit my page username: Duketate.

It was not my intention to be a writer with degrees in ecology, chemistry and human resources, but in 1995, after having relapsing remitting MS for 15 years I was disabled by secondary progresses MS. Between the disease and my divorce in 2002 my life was a mess and seemed to have only one direction, down! But, God had bigger plans. I'm in the process of writing my second self-help MS book and I frequently write articles for various online magazines, web sites like MSworld.org and MSfocus.org and just recently I had a two page article published in the summer issue of MS focus magazine. I look forward to meeting and making new friends here in the hub. Give me a shout! I'll be in touch.

Funny story, Maybe!

Funny story, Maybe!
By Chris Tatevosian

Recently I held a discussion and book signing at the Hopkinton public library in Hopkinton MA. During the question-and-answer segment of our discussion, one of the participants, the only person present with MS, asked a question beginning with the statement; “I’m amazed, and excited to know that after all that you have been through, you are now remarried. How did that happen, because as you said you are worse physically today than during your first marriag… Continue
