Building an audience of readers

Does anyone have suggestions on increasing traffic to an article based website? I'm trying to grow a reader base for my site www.79mph.com. Any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated!

Be sure to include the link to your site in your email signatures. It will bring the curious and sometimes they turn into steady readers. If you have forums you reguarly visit include your site address in your forum signature too. This is likely to bring like-minded readers to your site.
