Book Blogger Appreciation Week September 14th, 2009
I sent an email to the yahoo group but am posting the information here in case not everyone is on that mailing list. Marvin Wilson, one of our members, won the award last year for Most Spiritual Blog.

Last year I was able to take part in Book Blogger Appreciation Week (aka BBAW) and had a blast visiting different book blogs and meeting other book reviewers. It was the first year and was coordinated entirely by one book blogger. There were daily topics of discussion, awards, interviews, contests and giveaways.
This year it's being run by a committee of volunteers and they have their own web site. They are taking nominations right now for the BBAW Awards through August 15th. Why would you be interested in these nominations? You could show a book tour host a little love with a nomation but one of the award categories is Best Published Author Blog! During BBAW many of the book bloggers hold giveaways and contests to thank their readers. (I remember seeing books, bookmarks, coffee, mouse pads, and magazine subscriptions last year.) If you'd like to donate something to the BBAW web site (separate from any giveaways or contests you might have) they are currently tabulating donations at http://bookbloggerappreciationweek.com/index.php/giveaways.
