We're talking about your masterpiece!

An ebook (e-book) is an electronic book an often is another alternative to having your book published quickly until you are able to muster the money to print your book. With an ebook you can actually self-publish parts of the book before the entire book is finished.

Have you considered publishing your own ebook?

That sounds excellent Charly. It sounds like you're building your own multi-media empire. How do you resell your ebooks? Meaning do you use a company like lulu or one like ejunkie?

I thought about it once but decided to go with traditional publishing---Talking with different agents now

JW, it doesn't have to be one or the other. As a matter of fact when you negotiate your rights for your book you'll want to retain the right to publish your own ebook. Have you secured a book publishing deal since July 2008?

Greetings Shubi,

That's excellent. The books should be doing fairly good in sells/sales at this point. How do you drive people to the site outside of using forums?

Hi JaWar,
I never really thought about ebooks, I thought with ebooks you really had to know the computer, is that so and is it very costly or hard to pursue?

Bonnie, producing your own ebook is relatively simple. There are a number of outlets to make it happen. Essentially, you could go to a one-stop shop such as lulu and they will help you get set up in a relatively short time period. Of course, by going through a company such as lulu you receive less money per unit/ebook sold, because someone else is involved in the process of getting your book to readers.

The way that I use most often is by selling my own ebook direct to consumers in that fashion you typically keep 90% to 97% of the profit. While this method takes a few more steps than going through a company such as lulu it is not terribly difficult and if I and thousands of others can do it, then so can you. There's nothing stopping you except the woman in the mirror.

With a burning desire, practical written plan and daily execution of your plan you to will be able to sell your ebook direct to readers. I've created an ebook that shows you how to do exactly what I've done to get started with your ebook. Visit makemoneyselfpublishing.com for full details. If you download the makemoneyselfpublishing.com ebook I will walk you through the process, so you can get started. This way you know you're not alone in the process.

Peace family,

I'm actually working on my very first (e) book as we speak !

It's called Doing the Knowledge: Ascending into Action, and it's about waking up to our divine potential, becoming who we need to be to do work on this physical plane.

It's also part autobiographical - you can find more at my blog

But definitely, I think ebooks are the way to go - it's quick, easy, affordable and digital. Especially with sites like lulu.com and createspace.com, where actually printing and shipping can be taken care of for you.

The traditional world of physical publishing seems very competitive and complex in comparison, so I'll gradually ease into that level after my online e-book success.

Peace Fam...

+B

(ps: don't forget to a look at my blog, Today's Transcendence, and let me know what you think. As I'm producing the first draft, I haven't been blogging recently, or active here on Write It, but I'll be sure to keep you guys all posted on how things develop.)

Thank you for your contribution to the forum Vince. When is your next book scheduled to be published? Will it be a paperback or ebook?
